Gas Interlock Ventilation Systems
Gas safety interlock systems are required in all commercial kitchens. Gas Safe regulations and BS6173 both require an interlock system to be fitted. This ensures that the ventilation system is working before the gas is turned on. This prevents a build up of potentially poisonous gas combustion fumes in the kitchen which would be harmful to the health of kitchen staff and others within the premises.
For small catering outlets we stock the GM-111 interlock kit for those on a budget. We also stock the Caledonian Controls range of Gas Interlock Systems including the EMX50 which have been fully certified to comply with the BS6173 standard by Advantica, an independent NAMAS laboratory and who are now part of BSI.
